Cornerstone House was originally opened in the early 1980s as part of a local hospital chemical dependency treatment program (Choices at Brotman). The alumni association of that program, Friends of Choices, assumed the management of Cornerstone, then on Dunn Drive in Culver City, in 1994. It was our first sober facility. The home was later relocated to a larger, newer facility in a nearby section of West Los Angeles. This newly redecorated home is located on a quiet residential cul-de-sac near an abundance of recovery meetings, shopping, libraries and movie theaters. Cornerstone House serves seven men in recovery.
The house has cable television and broadband internet access, as well as an on-premises washer and dryer. Cornerstone is within walking distance of recovery meetings at the Marina Center, a popular 12 Step meeting facility which hosts over 40 meetings every week. Shopping, libraries, parks, a Senior Center, movie theatres and public transportation are also within walking distance.
